Women in Afghanistan face a gauntlet of intimidation walking down the street. In fact, there’s no law specifically prohibiting sexual harassment, which could be safely assumed to be about 100%. The U.S. military is not much better. Women are more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than injured in combat. 1 in 3 are estimated to be sexually assaulted. The Pentagon estimates that between 80% to 90% of sexual harassment goes unreported.
